Ribbon Cutting Ceremmony May 23 2024

A light summer breeze fills the air, a nice respite from the heat here in South Florida. The sunlight beams through the 4 garage bay doors as distinguished guests, Representatives from FL Congresswomen’s Laurel Lee’s office  and representative from FL State Representative Danny Alvarez offices,  County Commissioners, Board Supervisors, general public, HSWCD Staff, PC Chamber members and PC Chamber Ambassadors gather Thursday morning to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Hillsborough Soil and Water Conservation District new home located at 5403 Coronet Rd, Plant City FL 33566.

Chair Ryan Gill spoke to the crowd to thank everyone for their hard work in helping HSWCD obtain a new county office. All the Supervisors who attended were very excited to see the Grand Opening occur in such a short time after Dr Joe Walsh took over as Executive Director in December 2023. Supervisor Morris was “very appreciative of all of  [HSWCD Staff’s} hard work to finally get us in this facility.” Chair Gill “Thank you for all your hard work”.  Every one on the board was very excited to have their first public meeting at the facility on May 23, 2024.

All gathered outside by the new HSWCD road sign to have the countdown to the ribbon cutting.  Thank you to the PC Chamber of Commerce and the PC Ambassadors that helped with the Grand Opening Event. Thank you to all who attended!
