New Internship Available at Hillsborough Soil & Water

May 2nd, 2025
The Conservation District is happy to announce that we are offering a paid internship in Agricultural Policy.
Qualified candidates are recent college graduates or current upperclassmen pursuing their bachelor studies in agriculture with a study track in agronomy, or soil science and natural resource management.
The ideal candidate also will have roots and an interest in pursuing an agricultural career in the Greater Tampa Bay region.
Our funding source is stable and long term, so we can offer semester-by-semester, seasonal, 6-month or one-year internships.
We are offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.66 per hour, although we are capped at a maximum hourly schedule of 20 hours per week.
Activities - we are actively working on our five-year Strategic Plan and FY 2026 work plan. We are proposing that the intern will focus their efforts doing online research and potentially conducting interviews of program leaders at other conservation districts to identify in-demand technical service offerings.
