The Fresh From Florida breakfast, held during the 1st morning of the Florida State Fair in Tampa, brought together consumers, agricultural organizations, and industry leaders to celebrate Florida agriculture in a delicious and meaningful way!

With 423 attendees, the event created a welcoming space for guests to connect with some of the people and products that make Florida agriculture important. Attendees had the opportunity to walk around, fellowship with others, and visit tables that had a variety of food and beverage samples with Florida-grown ingredients!

Agricultural organizations from across the state gather to showcase their products and share their stories. The event was also attended by agricultural leaders, including Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson, highlighting the importance of supporting “Fresh From Florida” grown/harvested products and recognizing agriculture’s impact on Florida’s communities, economy, and wild spaces.

Our organization was excited to participate by serving a seasonal favorite: strawberries. The berries were provided by Board Supervisor Terri Parke and her family at Parkesdale Farms! Each cup came with a strawberry, pineberry, cheese cube, and a piece of chocolate. The sweet and savory combo was a crowd favorite and a great way to spotlight the dynamic flavor of Florida strawberries.

Events like the Fresh From Florida breakfast continue to bring agriculturalists, consumers, youth, and leaders together for the industry that feeds and clothes us and serve as a great reminder to look for Fresh From Florida labeled products the next time you shop.
