Residents and employees are invited to take part in a hands-on, family-friendly Disaster and Recovery Community Expo from 9 a.m. to noon on June 13 at Feeding Tampa Bay, 3624 Causeway Blvd., Tampa, FL, 33619. The expo is designed to help residents strengthen their disaster relief readiness and post-storm recovery. Attendees will receive guidance on what to include in a hurricane preparedness kit. Visitors will also get the opportunity to meet with various County departments, check out County emergency vehicles and disaster response equipment, and participate in hurricane supplies giveaways, which will include essential hurricane and disaster tools, equipment, and gear.
