The poster contest is open to applicants in both the junior grades division (K-1, 2-3 and 4-6) and the senior grades division (7-9 and 10-12). Cash awards are given for first- second and third-place finishers in each grades level. Honorable Mention awards are given as well and all participants receive a certificate that showcases an image of their entry.

Each contest entry earns its creator a free ticket to the 2022 Hillsborough County Fair, scheduled for Nov. 3-13 at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds in Dover, where all posters are set for display. Winning poster entries advance to the next level of competition, starting with area and then state. The national competition is sponsored by NACD.
